A Victor man is facing serious charges tonight after deputies say they found a loaded ghost gun and a stash of illegal weapons inside his home.
43-year-old Elijah Bonvell, of Wildwood Lane, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.
The investigation started back in March, when State Police responded to an incident at Bonvell’s home. That led to an Extreme Risk Protection Order, and troopers removed firearms from the house.
But just a few days later, deputies say they were called back—and this time, they found a loaded 9mm ghost gun. The weapon had no serial number and was loaded beyond the state’s legal 10-round limit.
They also discovered several other illegal items, including metal knuckles, a knuckle knife, and a police-style baton.
Bonvell later turned himself in after a joint investigation by State Police and the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
The case is still under investigation.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
