An arrest has been made in connection to a house being struck by gunfire last month in the village of Newark.
Anthony Canady, Junior, of Sodus, was charged Monday with criminal possession of a loaded firearm. It is alleged the 21-year-old had a loaded pistol on Madison Street on June 22nd when police responded to the area for a man who had been jumped. Officers described the scene as “very confusing and chaotic” when they arrived as vehicles with people who were allegedly involved fled. Spent casings were found in the road in front of a house that was struck by gunfire.
Police expect additional arrests to be made.
