Some new information regarding the paid suspension of Macedon Police Sergeant Bridgette Goodfriend.
According to court documents obtained by 13 WHAM, after Macedon Police Chief Fabian Rivera was involved in an accident with his patrol car on the morning of November 20th, Sgt. Goodfriend gave her boss a ride home after reviewing a tape of the crash that showed he was at fault.
After Rivera got into his personal car and started to drive away from his residence, Goodfriend reportedly called Rivera and asked him to return home where he complied with field sobriety tests. Rivera’s blood alcohol content was reported by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office to be more than three times the legal limit. He resigned from his job one day after his arrest.
Sgt. Goodfriend was suspended a few days later pending the outcome of an internal investigation, which the results of have yet to be made public.
