New charges have been filed against the Ontario County woman who was arrested earlier this month following a several-month-long investigation into drug trafficking in the Canandaigua area.
Initially, Canandaigua Police arrested Kathleen Ayers on a charge of criminal sale of a controlled substance after drugs and illegal weapons were found in her Hopewell home. Now, Ayers has been charged with six counts of criminal possession of a weapon after five 30-round magazines and one 40-round magazine were seized from her home earlier this month. The magazines were loaded with 5.56-millimeter ammunition that was seized as well.
Police say additional charges against the 39-year-old are pending.
