Just days after the arrest of Geneva Police Officer Michael Tapscott for allegedly selling prescription Adderall while on duty, the department is now facing further scrutiny as two additional officers have been placed on administrative leave.
Geneva Police Chief Ron Eveland confirmed on Saturday that Sergeant David Felice and Officer Nathan Jacon are now under criminal investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office. Details of the investigation remain limited, and it is not yet known whether the new probe is related to the charges against Tapscott.
Tapscott, an 11-year veteran of the department, resigned last Wednesday following his arrest. Chief Eveland described the allegations against him as “deeply unsettling” and emphasized the department’s full cooperation with the ongoing investigation.
In addition to the Sheriff’s Office inquiry, the Geneva Police Department has launched its own internal administrative investigation, as required by department policy.
