State Police have released the name of the driver killed in a tractor-trailer crash last week on the New York State Thruway in Seneca County.
Troopers say 40-year-old Daniel Northrup of Auburn died after his rig drifted off the roadway on I-90 westbound in the town of Phelps around 7:40 a.m. on August 13. The truck traveled along the guiderail before overturning onto its side.
Northrup, the sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene and later transported to Geneva General Hospital. The trailer remained attached during the crash and was carrying non-hazardous products.
