Police have made two more arrests in connection with the shooting of a 15-year-old Wayne County girl on Rochester’s north side.
During the early morning hours of April 28th, police responded to reports of gunfire near East Ridge Road and North Clinton Avenue and found evidence of a shooting. About an hour later, the victim arrived at a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her lower body.
19-year-old Velquez Dennis was arrested this week on criminal possession of a weapon and assault charges. Two weeks ago, 22-year-old Ja’Mear Stallings was charged with weapons possession and reckless endangerment.
Previously, 20-year-old D’Adrian Tucker was charged with weapons possession after he allegedly ran from the crime scene with a loaded “ghost gun.”
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
