Two Wayne County men were killed when the pickup truck they were riding in was struck by a tractor-trailer in Sodus.
State Police say 59-year-old John M. Crane, of Williamson, was traveling north on Ridge Road when he failed to stop at the red light and was struck by the tractor-trailer that was heading west on State Route 104. Crane and his passenger, 37-year-old John L. Crane, of Sodus, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer, 58-year-old John Mikac, of Buffalo, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident happened just after 10 Monday morning.
The New York State Police Collison Reconstruction Unit and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit responded to the scene to assist with the investigation, which is ongoing at this time.
