SHARE NOW

Three people were injured Saturday afternoon in a motor vehicle accident outside the Bristol Mountain Ski Resort.

According to Ontario County Deputies , the personal injury motor vehicle accident occured on State Route 64 in the town of South Bristol.

Deputies say 35-year-old Samantha Romanick of Rochester was exiting Bristol Mountain when she failed to yield the right of way to 57-year-old Daniel Norris of Rushville who was heading south on Route 64.

Deputies said both vehicles collided causing Norris’s vehicle to hit a northbound bus carrying students from a local school that just exited Bristol Mountain. They say no one on the bus was injured.

Romanick was transported to Strong Hospital for a possible broken pelvis and internal injuries. Romanick was listed in stable condition.

Norris was transported to Strong Hospital for a laceration and minor injuries along with his passenger 58-year-old Yan Sun of Pittsford who was taken to the Strong for possible rib fractures and is in stable condition.

Route 64 was closed from Country Road 32 to Country Road 34 while deputies investigated the scene.

Deputies cited Romanick for failure to yield the right of way.
