A three-car accident in Ontario County sent multiple people to the hospital for minor injuries.
The accident happened just before 5 p.m. Friday near the intersection of State Route 96 and County Road 28 in Farmington. According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Mark Ronchi, of Penn Yan, was driving west on State Route 96 and was following too closely when he rear-ended a car driven by Sheryl Crippen, of Farmington. The crash’s impact sent Crippen’s car into the back end of a vehicle driven by Bruce Bordwell of Phelps.
Police said “multiple passengers” were treated and taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by Victor Farmington Ambulance for their injuries.
Manchester Fire Department responded and closed down the road during the investigation.
Ronchi was ticketed for following too closely.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
