The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly crash that happened Friday evening in the town of Williamson.
Deputies say the crash happened around 6:20 p.m. on Lake Avenue, about a half-mile north of Route 104. A 2017 Chevrolet pickup truck left the roadway and struck a tree in the front yard of a home.
The driver, described as an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Deputies say the man’s immediate family has been notified, and further notifications are pending.
