A Seneca Falls man was arrested Saturday morning after allegedly confronting police officers who had closed a roadway for the Right to Run 5K Race. .
According to the Seneca Falls Police Department, at approximately 10:06 a.m., officers informed 40-year-old Justin Rogers that Ovid Street was closed to vehicular traffic to ensure the safety of race participants. Police say Rogers exited his vehicle and confronted the officers about not being being able to pass through the closed off road.
Rogers was taken into custody without incident and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Failure to Comply with a Lawful Order, both violations. He was issued an appearance ticket for Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
