A Seneca Falls man was arrested Friday afternoon on two active arrest warrants following separate incidents in April, according to the Seneca Falls Police Department.
Carlin T. Seneca, 41, was taken into custody at 12:09 p.m. on May 9. The first warrant stems from an April 16 incident in which Seneca allegedly called the Seneca Falls Police Department and threatened physical harm to officers if they did not comply with his demands. He was charged with Making a Terroristic Threat, a class D felony.
The second warrant relates to an April 29 incident where Seneca reportedly interfered with a patrol officer performing routine duties. Police say Seneca blocked a patrol vehicle, brandished a lacrosse stick, and launched a ball through the open window, hitting the officer in the head.
As a result, Seneca faces the following additional charges:
- Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree (Class A misdemeanor)
- Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree (Class A misdemeanor)
- Menacing in the Second Degree (Class A misdemeanor)
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon (Class A misdemeanor)
- Harassment in the First Degree (Class B misdemeanor)
- Menacing in the Third Degree (Class B misdemeanor)
- Disorderly Conduct (Violation)
- Harassment in the Second Degree (Violation)
Seneca was processed and held pending arraignment in the Town of Seneca Falls Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
