Police were able to prevent a potential tragedy at the Clifton Springs Festival of Lights on Friday.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Susan Green allegedly drove her car through a roadblock that was set up for the festival. Police in the area were able to quickly stop Green’s car before she could reach any of the pedestrian traffic at the festival on West Main Street.
The 64-year-old Green was charged with driving while intoxicated and released on an appearance ticket.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
