Two men have been arrested for allegedly working together to traffic large amounts of cocaine throughout Ontario County and the surrounding area.
A multi-agency investigation led to a traffic stop Monday night in Farmington that turned up approximately one kilogram of cocaine, over $12,000 in cash, and a half-dozen firearms. 65-year-old John Kelley and 41-year-old Tomas Ortiz are both charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and are being held at the Ontario County Jail.
These arrests were made by Ontario County Sheriff’s investigators following a joint investigation with the United States Postal Inspection Service, assisted by the Canandaigua Police Department, the Geneva Police Department, and the Ontario County District Attorney’s Office.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
