Police: Newark Man Threatened to Kill Workers for Shutting Off Water

A Wayne County man who had his water service shut off by the village of Newark is accused of threatening to kill the county’s Water and Sewer Authority employees.

William Cook allegedly called the county agency after becoming angry over the village shutting his water off at his home. According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Cook stated he would kill employees of the Authority along with other undisclosed threats during the call.

The 32-year-old Cook was charged with aggravated harassment and was released on an appearance ticket for Walworth Town Court.
