Police arrested a Geneva man after he allegedly broke into a room at the America’s Best Value Inn and physically and forcefully attempted to have sexual intercourse with the victim.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office responded Sunday night to the State Routes 5 and 20 location and took Therian Atkins into custody.
Atkins was charged with attempted rape and burglary and was expected to be arraigned at the Ontario County Jail this morning.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
