Pets Killed in Seneca County House Fire

Several dogs and cats were killed in a Seneca County fire that caused more than $100,000 in damage to a home.

When police arrived on scene at 2027 West Seneca Street in Lodi during the noon hour on April 25th the home was engulfed in flames. No one was home when the fire broke out and several dogs and killed perished in the fire.

Kimberly Hayward is the owner of the home, which was uninsured. The Red Cross responded to the scene to assist the owner and residents, Robert and Tine Ziegler.

The Lodi Fire Department was assisted by the Ovid, Interlaken, Romulus, Fayette, and Hector fire departments along with the Seneca County Fire Investigation team.
