A family of eight safely escaped an early morning house fire in Ontario County.
Naples, Bristol, and Cheshire fire departments responded to 6557 Powell Hill Road in South Bristol just before 3 o’clock for the report of smoke inside the home. Firefighters put out the fire and damage was limited to the home’s exterior and surrounding electrical wires.
What caused the fire remains under investigation.
The sheriff’s department reports Andrew Toulson, his wife, and their six children were able to find arraignments for housing.
