A Palmyra man has been arrested on child exploitation charges.
According to the US Attorney’s Office, John Aldrich IV is accused of sexually abusing the minor weekly for over a year beginning when they were just 14. This included the production of child porn.
Law enforcement began investigating the 54-year-old in March after receiving information about the alleged abuse. Investigators uncovered messages between the two, revealing the ongoing abuse.
Aldrich was charged with the production, receipt, possession, and distribution of child pornography, and enticement of a minor. After making an initial appearance in court, he was held with a detention hearing scheduled for April 22.
If convicted, he faces 15 years to life in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
