An Ontario County man suffered a broken leg after the SUV he was driving collided with a Casella roll-off dump truck Monday morning.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, 27-year-old William Driscoll, of Stanley, was headed east on Lake-to-Lake Road shortly before 7 o’clock when he approached the intersection with State Route 14A in the town of Seneca. As his SUV approached the intersection, Driscoll prepared to stop by applying his breaks. Due to what police say was his unreasonable and not prudent speed based on the snowy conditions of the roadway, Driscoll’s SUV slid through the intersection and collided with the Casella truck.
Driscoll was taken by Stanley-Hall-Gorham Ambulance for a broken left leg. He was issued a ticket for speed not prudent and will appear in Seneca Town Court at a later date.
The driver of the Casella truck, Derrick Kline, of Lyons, was not injured.
