A jury has acquitted an Ontario County man who was charged with felony predatory sexual assault of a child.
In September of 2023, Nicholas Snyder was accused by State Police of engaging in a course of deviant sexual conduct with a child under the age of 13 over a several-year period.
Snyder went to trial in Ontario County Court on April 21st, and the jury was handed the case last Friday. After two-and-a-half days of deliberations, the jury unanimously found Snyder to be not guilty.
The Hon. Frederick Reed presided over the trial. The People were represented by Assistant District Attorney Kelly Wolford, and Assistant Public Defender Patrick Conklin represented the defendant.
