The Ontario County Chamber is warming its members about an email solicitation scheme from a company named “Lead Focus Data.”
The Chamber said its members have been contacted by this company without its knowledge or permission implying that it is affiliated with the Chamber and asks for $175 to receive a list of the Chamber’s business members.
Chamber President Tracey Dello Stritto believes this solicitation is a phishing scam. She added Chamber members are listed on their website but the only information that is shared is that which each member has elected to share within their member portal. She adds the Chamber does not share its member’s email addresses with anyone without permission. +
