No Injuries Reported Following Ontario Tractor Trailer Crash

A medical emergency is believed to have caused a tractor-trailer crash in the Town of Ontario Friday afternoon.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened just before 2:00 on State Route 350 when the Earl T Wadhams milk hauler left the west shoulder of the roadway, striking a ditch and utility pole.

The driver, 73-year-old James Powers, was not injured in the crash. Palmyra man was, however, taken to Rochester General Hospital as a precaution as he did lose consciousness before the crash.

The vehicle sustained severe damage.

Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted at the scene by the NYS DEC Spill response, RG&E, Earl T Wadhams, Ontario Fire, Ontario Ambulance, Wayne County Advanced Life Support, and Featherlys Towing.
