One week after residents of the Canandaigua City School District approved a capital project, voters in another Ontario County school district will be asked to do the same.
On Wednesday, the Midlakes school district will put a $35 million proposal before voters that if approved, would see a new multipurpose turf field installed along with upgrades to the school’s boiler and HVAC systems. The project also calls for roofs at both district buildings to be replaced.
The district says the project would not increase taxes and will be funded through the use of an existing $8 million capital reserve fund and an 88 percent reimbursement by the state on all approved costs.

Voters can cast their ballots Wednesday from noon until 9 in the former Middle School Library.
