Maine Man Wanted on Seneca County Robbery Charges Arrested

SHARE NOW

The Maine man who failed to appear in local court back in April for charges of robbery and attempted robbery is back in the custody of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.

Ron Poore was arrested on a warrant for his failure to appear on May 31st at the Kennebec County Jail in Maine. Poore was extradited to Seneca County where he was arraigned at Centralized Arraignment Part on June 1st. Poore was released on his recognizance on the warrants for failure to appear but ultimately held on the sealed indictment warrant. On June 5th, Poore was arraigned in Seneca County Superior Court. The indictment was unsealed, and Poore was arraigned on multiple counts of Robbery and Bail Jumping.

Due to the Bail Jumping charge being a qualifying offense, Poore is being held at the Seneca County Jail on $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond.

The charges stem from three separate incidents in March of 2024 where Poore allegedly robbed a female victim by force, robbed a convenience store by threatening the use of a firearm, and attempted to rob a male victim by force and the threat of physical harm. Poore was taken into custody following these three incidents and arraigned in the Seneca County Centralized Arraignment Court. Poore was subsequently released on his own recognizance due to the New York State bail reform laws and was scheduled to return to the Tyre Town Court on April 10.

Poore is scheduled to appear in Seneca County Superior Court on August 7th at 11:00 am.
