Family members have launched a GoFundMe for a Waterloo man allegedly assaulted by his neighbor, Randy Davis Jr., during a home invasion at Mallard Crossing that led to a nearly six-hour standoff with police.
Davis reportedly broke into Steven Lindon’s home at around 3 a.m. Tuesday, stole rifles, and beat Lindon after he provided the wrong gun-safe combination. Lindon eventually escaped and called 911 but suffered facial fractures and brain bleeding. His home was damaged as Davis fired at police and propane tanks during the standoff before being forced out by tear gas.
The fundraiser aims to cover medical expenses and home repairs.
