A Geneva man has been arrested on felony assault charges for allegedly stabbing another man in the city earlier this week.
Police were flagged down in the area of Main Street at around 1 Monday morning by a person reporting a stabbing. The victim suffered two large lacerations to his head and was taken to Geneva General for non-life-threatening injuries. Working off a lead that the suspect was a Hispanic male, police identified Angel Moreno, a convicted felon, as a person of interest. The 45-year-old was taken into custody hours later.
Moreno is being held in the Ontario County Jail without bail.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to contact the Geneva Police Department at 315.828.6771, or Detective Daniel Hickey at 315.828.6781. All information can remain anonymous.
