A father and son have been arrested following an alleged altercation with deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
According to authorities, on Thursday night, 23-year-old Dominic Affronti was involved in a fight at the Wayne County Fairgrounds and was ordered to leave. He reportedly returned to the fairgrounds and engaged in a physical confrontation with two deputies, leading to his arrest.
Additionally, it is alleged that Dominic’s father, 62-year-old William Affronti, shoved a deputy while being escorted off the premises and attempted to intervene during his son’s arrest.
Both Dominic and William Affronti have been charged with obstructing governmental administration in the second degree and resisting arrest. Dominic also faces charges of third-degree criminal trespass and third-degree assault. Both were released with appearance tickets.
