A two-car crash in Ontario County Thursday brought down power lines and sent one of the drivers to the hospital by helicopter.
The Sheriff’s Department reports Alexander Morrow, of Palmyra, was driving a Mazda CX3 eastbound on Outlet Road in the town of Manchester when he failed to stop for a stop sign, continued through the intersection with County Road 7 and was struck by a southbound box truck driven by John Schummer, of Clyde. The impact sent Morrow’s car into a power pole, which caused overhead lines to fall across the road.
Morrow was airlifted by Lifenet for undisclosed injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office said no tickets have been issued at this time.
The Clifton Springs, Manchester, and Port Gibson Fire Departments responded to the scene as did Finger Lakes Ambulance
