Ontario County Mental Health, Public Health and Office for the Aging have partnered with CredibleMind to improve access to mental health information and care in Ontario County.
CredibleMind is a web-based platform designed to provide residents with a comprehensive range of mental health support. This innovative resource focuses on early intervention, offering over 10,000 evidence-based and science-backed tools to empower individuals in identifying and addressing their mental health.
Dr. Jessica Mitchell, Director of Ontario County Mental Health, states, “CredibleMind is a game-changer for our community. By focusing on prevention and early intervention, we can provide residents with the tools they need to support their mental health journey.”
The site meets strict security parameters. Users can set up an account and password to be remembered or can participate without doing so. As with other web-based programs, it will be possible to determine which topics are most visited.
Kate Ott, Public Health Director, is “excited that de-identified, cumulative data will be available to inform the department’s upcoming Community Health Assessment.” Triciajean Jones, Director of the Office for the Aging, sees CredibleMind as “another great tool for older adults and their caregivers who may have limited access to mental health information and services.”
Residents can access the platform 24/7 at Ontario County CredibleMind and explore a wealth of tailored resources. The platform offers tools for assessments, education, and support. It encourages users to take care of their mental health while connecting them to local resources. Anyone who completes an assessment during December, will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Amazon gift certificate sponsored by CredibleMind.
