Community Bank will close one of its branches later this year. Effective September 12th, the Phelps branch on Route 96 will close, and all services will be consolidated into the nearby branch at the Clifton Springs Plaza.
“The decision was made after a thorough assessment of how we can best serve our customers and optimize our branch network to adapt to changing banking needs,” said the bank in a statement. “We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, but we assure you that we are committed to a smooth transition, and our team is available to assist you with any questions or concerns.”
Community Bank added for Phelps branch customers, they won’t have to do a thing. “Your account(s) will remain unchanged, your existing checks, ATM/debit cards, and account number(s) will stay the same, with no interruption to your service.”
