One week after it was postponed at the request of law enforcement, the Clyde-Savannah Board of Education held its November monthly meeting Wednesday night. It was the first board meeting since the alleged Halloween locker room hazing incident that resulted in four members of the high school football team being arrested.
A larger than normal crowd that attended was told by the Board president at the start of the meeting the public comment session was canceled and the Board would not be able to comment on the pending investigation of the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old that was videotaped and shared on social media.
The board meeting happened just hours after two of the four suspects appeared in court for the first time since being indicted.
