8:30 P.M. UPDATE: A Clifton Springs man was arrested Thursday just hours after he robbed a bank.
At around 2:30 in the afternoon, Brandon Gray allegedly walked into the Community Bank branch in Clifton Springs, passed a note to a teller that demanded money. The 37-year-old then took off on foot with an unknown amount of cash.
Thanks to a detailed description of the suspect by bank employees, police were able to develop information on Grey’s whereabouts and arrested him inside of an East Main Street residence about two hours later.
Gray was charged with felony robbery and will be arraigned Friday morning.
Police are looking for the man who allegedly robbed the Community Bank branch in Clifton Springs.
According to authorities, the suspect, who they identified as Brandon Gray of Clifton Springs, walked into the bank on Thursday, handed the teller a note demanding money, and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect did not display a weapon at any time.
Police say the suspect, Grey, is 37 years old and was wearing a black Bart Simpson t-shirt at the time. It was unknown if he was able to get away in a car or on foot.
Gray is described as being a 6’2 black male with dreadlocks.
