The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office has completed another successful year of the D.A.R.E. program, continuing its long-standing tradition of teaching students in South Seneca, Romulus, and Waterloo schools about making safe and responsible choices.

The ten-week program covers a range of topics, including the dangers of alcohol and tobacco, peer pressure, bullying, effective communication, and being a good citizen. It’s aimed at helping young people build confidence and develop skills to make healthy decisions.

The program is funded entirely through donations, which support classroom materials, D.A.R.E. merchandise, and an end-of-year celebration for participating students.

Sheriff Tim Thompson expressed gratitude to local sponsors and school districts, saying, “We thank our sponsors for their commitment to youth in our community and commend our staff and schools for making this program a continued success.”
