State Police are investigating a serious bicycle crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Tompkins County.
Troopers were dispatched by the Tompkins County 911 Center at approximately 3 p.m. to Brickyard Road in the Town of Lansing.
A preliminary investigation determined that a vehicle traveling on Brickyard Road near Ludlowville Road struck a bicyclist who was also traveling on Brickyard Road.
The bicyclist suffered serious injuries and was flown by helicopter to Upstate Medical University Hospital for treatment.
State Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
