Villages throughout Cayuga County are preparing to ring in the holidays.
On Friday, the Village of Cayuga will hold its annual tree lighting ceremony at 6:00p at the Harris Park Gazebo. Santa will be on hand along with caroling and hot chocolate.
Santa will then make his way along Route 90 to Union Springs where he’ll be present for their ceremony the next day. Union Spring’s tree lighting ceremony will begin at 5:30p on Saturday at the downtown gazebo. Following, the lighting, families can go to the Union Springs Fire Department to meet Saint Nick.
Fair Haven will also hold their tree lighting and Parade of Lights on Saturday. The parade begins at 6:45p on Main Street. Presented by the Fair Haven Area Chamber of Commerce, the event also features caroling, hot chocolate, and goodie bags for the kids.
Christmas in Moravia runs Friday and Saturday in the village. The tree lighting will take place on Friday at 6:00p at 131 Main Street. Saturday will see vendor markets from 9:00a-2:00p in the village.
