Do you have any questions about the United Way of Cayuga or its member agencies?

United Way is launching a new Facebook Q&A series to answer any questions the community has about the nonprofit and its partners. Campaign and Marketing Manager Julisa Stone is running the series. She told Finger Lakes News Radio that the purpose of the series is to give Cayuga County residents a better understanding of how the nonprofit works and its role in the community.

When Stone is out interacting with the various communities within the county, she said many people know that the basics of the United Way but not much beyond that. With these sessions, she is hoping to change that.

“We’ve learned that a lot of our neighbors know the United Way logo; they know that the United Way is a charity, that we work with other nonprofits and fund them, but that’s the extent for a lot of people… We wanted to open up the opportunity for all of Cayuga County to know the United Way.”

Questions can be in general or about specific funded member agencies and initiatives.

Stone added that, depending on the amount of questions received, sessions will be held either biweekly or triweekly during Facebook Live sessions on the group’s Facebook page.

Questions can be asked on pinned posts on United of Cayuga County’s Facebook page, through Messenger, or by emailing Stone directly.
