You can spend New Year’s Day enjoying the great outdoors at two Cayuga County locations.
The Friends of Fillmore Glen State Park will hold their second annual First Day Hike on January 1. Attendees will be able to enjoy the park’s natural beauty and embrace the season by going on a hike through the park. Hikers are asked to meet at the park’s main pavilion at 10:00a and to dress appropriately for the weather.
At the Sterling Nature Center, visitors are encouraged to start the new year off with a hike along Lake Ontario beginning at 1:00p. Once again, hikers are encouraged to dress appropriately for the winter weather.
