Work is underway at Auburn High School this summer as part of the district’s five-year plan.
Superintendent Jeff Pirozzolo says work on the building is much needed.
“Every year we get a couple of pipes that break that end up flooding classrooms,” Pirozzolo said on FLX Morning. “So right now, all the ceilings are out and they’re replacing all that branch piping, and they are ahead of schedule which is wonderful.”
Work at the high school is expected to be completed by mid-August. This will give teachers time to ready their classrooms for the upcoming school year.
Pirozzolo adds the five-year plan should have been completed already; however, COVID delayed work on the district’s buildings.
