A Cayuga County Court judge has approved a psychiatric evaluation for a man who allegedly tried to kill a woman in Sennett earlier this year.
The Citizen reports that 24-year-old John Netti, who is accused of strangling a woman who was walking her dog near Rockingham Road last February is facing charges of first-degree attempted murder and criminal obstruction of breathing.
Cayuga County Sheriff’s Deputies say Netti allegedly jumped out of a parked utility trailer and attacked the woman, A neighbor who saw the attack called 911 Netti fled on foot and was later caught on the Highland Park Golf Course.
