A company hoping to build a wind farm in Cayuga County will hold a virtual community meeting later this month.
Liberty Renewables will hold the meeting for the Agricola Wind Project being developed in the Towns of Scipio and Venice where they will provide a presentation covering various topics of interest followed by a Q&A session.
The virtual meeting will take place from 7:00-8:00p on September 24. Registration can be done here.
When complete, the project would see 24 turbines produce clean energy to power homes around the Empire State. According to Liberty Renewables, they expect construction to take place from 2026-2027 with operations beginning in 2027.
