Wells College has sold a 125-year-old home and the new owner has plans to demolish it.
Known as the McGordon House, property records indicate the 110 Main St, Aurora home was sold through Aurora Route 90 Group LLC to Kevin Fitzgerald on September 29 for $425,000.
The Citizen reports Fitzgerald plans to demolish the house and build rental homes in its stead. For this to happen, the property would need to be rezoned for mixed-use.
A public meeting on proposed changes to the village’s zoning law will be held on January 24 at 6:00p at the Morgan Opera House.
