Cayuga County residents can help those in North Carolina who were impacted by Hurricane Helene.

In Owasco, items can be dropped off at the town hall from 8:00a-4:00p until Thursday. IBEW Local 1249 will then send the items to Mooresville, NC.

The requested items included hygiene products, first aid kits, bedding, dining supplies, baby items, flashlights, lighters, nonperishable food, cleaning products, new clothing, pet food, and toys and games.

The Ana Moon Marsh Memorial Fund will collect donations in the southern end of the county and beyond until October 25. Physical donations can be dropped off at Patrick Tavern Market in Aurora on Tuesdays from 4:30-6:00p and on the 12th and 13th from 12:00-4:00p, Souther Cayuga Central School during school hours, and The Ridge in Lansing Tuesday-Thursday after 3:00p.

The fund is seeking 5-gallon buckets, first aid supplies, feminine hygiene products, diapers, wipes, cleaning supplies, paper products, nonperishable food, blankets, and pet supplies.

Additionally, cash donations will be accepted at the following locations to be collected by the memorial fund:

  • Patrick Tavern Market in Aurora (Tuesdays 4:30-6:00p)
  • The Ridge in Lansing (Tuesday-Saturday after 3:00p)
  • Southern Cayuga Central School (during school hours in the high school and elementary offices)
  • The East Shore Roadhouse in Lansing (Wednesday-Saturday 7:00a-3:00p, Sunday 7:00a-1:00p)
  • Crossroads Bar and Grill in Lansing (Tuesday 4:00-9:00p, Wednesday-Sunday 11:00a-9:00p)
  • Modern Market in Moravia (Every day 8:00a-8:00 p)
