With his term beginning as the new Republican Elections Commissioner in Cayuga County, John Camardo has resigned from two local boards he served on.
The Citizen reports Camardo stepped down from the Board of Trustees at Cayuga Community College and from the county’s Public Utility Service board. With a few exceptions, state law prohibits an election commissioner from holding another public office.
Democratic Commissioner Keith Batman resigned as chairman of the county’s Board of Health last month.
