Cayuga County has received one million dollars for infrastructure work.

The money comes from the state’s County Infrastructure Grant Program, which is designed to support small and medium-sized projects to keep the state competitive and generate economic growth.

“I know first hand how critical infrastructure is in order to uplift communities and bring families and loved ones together,” Governor Hochul said. “From my early days on a Town Board to serving as Erie County Clerk and in Congress, I’ve seen how investments like these can breathe new life into neighborhoods, drive housing growth, support vibrant downtowns, and bring new energy to local economies. We’re putting local priorities front and center as we build a stronger New York.”

Funding will allow Auburn to install water and sewer lines, extending Manor House Drive, and create new sidewalks. This will help the city create 70 housing units at the site that will also include a dog park, clubhouse, and pickleball court.
