Caleb Slater beat Fanny Villareal in the GOP primary for the 48th State Senate District. He’ll face off against incumbent Rachel May.
Due to redistricting, Cayuga County is now split between two congressional districts, the 22nd and 24th.
John Mannion defeated Sarah Klee Hood to win the Democratic nomination for the 22nd New York Congressional District. He’ll face off against incumbent Brandon Williams.
In the 24th Congressional District, incumbent Claudia Tenney beat challenger Mario Fratto. Tenny faces Democrat David Wagenhauser in the November election.
Republicans in the Town of Sempronius chose their nominee for highway superintendent. With 82 votes, Jason Daniel Kemp beat Patricia Lee.
