Small businesses in Cayuga County affected by the COVID-19 pandemic have another chance to apply for grant funding.
$500,000 was allocated by the county in 2022 to assist businesses negatively affected by the pandemic and 37 businesses were awarded a total of $300,000 in funding in early 2023.
With $200,000 remaining, Cayuga County is opening a second round of this grant program.
Applications open May 1st and will run through June 12th.
Businesses meeting certain criteria will be eligible for up to $10,000 in grant funding.
The money comes from the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds and the American Rescue Plan Act.
More information, including how to apply, can be found on the Cayuga Economic Development Agency’s website, who is administering the program. Questions should be directed to Economic Development Specialist Maureen Riester at[email protected]
