For the first time, Cayuga Community College will accept students into its inaugural spring nursing cohort.
As part of a grant initiative funded by SUNY Operating Aid to Enhance Worker Outcomes to meet the rising demand for nurses, CCC will accept 16 students into a fast-track Spring 2026 cohort at its Auburn campus.
CCC welcomes cohorts into its nursing program each fall; however, the college said this will be the first time students will be able to start in the spring. These students will complete courses in the Spring and Summer 2026 terms at the Auburn campus. They will then be able to finish their Associate in Applied Science degree at either CCC’s Auburn or Fulton campus in the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.
“We’re always excited for new pathways to open that allow students to join our Nursing program as they pursue their passion about helping people in need. Our program is built to prepare graduates for successful careers, and we have a proven record of helping them achieve their dream. I encourage anyone who has the goal of making a difference in healthcare to apply for this opportunity,” said Cayuga Division Chair of Nursing Mary Driscoll.
Applications for the Spring 2026 semester are open until November 14. Applications for the Fall 2026 semester open on October 1. Application details can be found on the college’s website.
CCC prides itself on its nursing program, calling it “one of the top associate degree RN programs in New York.” According to the college, 99% of its graduates from 2021-2024 passed the NCLEX, the exam required to receive a nursing license, on their first attempt.
