Cayuga Chamber of Commerce Award Winners Announced

The winners of the 2023 Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce Awards have been announced.

Erica Manners of Essentially Erica has won the Phyllis Goldman Award. This award recognizes a woman who owns a business and demonstrates “noteworthy entrepreneurial pursuit.”

The Terri Bridenbecker Young Professional Award, which recognizes those under 40 pursuing excellence in their career, has gone to Courtney Rae Kasper at the Equal Rights Heritage Center.

There were two winners of the Small Business of the Year Award. Melody Johnson of Melody’s has won in the In Business Less Than 5 Years category. Sam Chindamo Jr of Sam’s Shoe Service has received the award in the In Business 5+ Years category.

HR One has was on the Business Leader Award for their active roll in the community.

Drew Scharoun of Sleep in Heavenly Peace has won the Non-Profit of the Year Award.

The Community Leadership Award recognizes a Leadership Cayuga alum for their participation in civic organizations and leadership roles in both their organization and in the community. Sue MacDavitt of the Class of 2005 has won this year.

The chamber will recognize the seven winners at its Annual Awards Luncheon next month.
